The word ‘AGAPE’ is derived from the Greek language meaning God’s Love (God is Love). The Agape Youth Welfare Organisation is one of the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) in Wokha district, Nagaland (India). It is a Voluntary, Non-Profit, Non-Political, Non-Religious and Welfare Organisation. The primary purpose of the Organisation is for ‘Holistic Approach’ so as to take up and address all kinds of Social Problems and Issues in the community. It is also committed and dedicated for Caring and Healing Ministry in the society.

The Agape Youth Welfare Organisation works with different aspects of all human problems and needs. It is fully committed for the welfare of all mankind - regardless of Background, Caste, Sex, Colour, Language, Religion, and Status. Its members shall express the need of conscientizing citizen towards more responsible living, human development, love and care through the Voluntary Service of the Agape Youth Welfare Organisation which was formed in February, 1993 at Wokha Town, Nagaland.

Administrative Office The Administrative Office of the Organisation is located at Wokha Town, Dist. Wokha, Nagaland (India).
Area of Operation & Membership The Area of operation and membership of the Organisation shall be whole of Nagaland State and also in the North East India.

Mission The Agape Youth Welfare Organisation seeks to Serve, Care and Work with the Underprivileged Groups and Oppressed to promote Peace, Justice, Rights and Transformation.

  1. To promote Leadership Development and Capacity Building for the Public Leaders, Youth Leaders, Women Leaders and NGOs.
  2. To promote Awareness Education for Self Reliance, Income Generation and for All Round Development.
  3. To promote and Implement all kinds of Social Welfare Programs in the Community.
